Our Favorite Rookie Moments From 2015-16

August 04, 2016

One of the exciting things about the 2016-17 season will be seeing how the youngsters of the past season have progressed. Names like Connor McDavid, Dylan Larkin and Jack Eichel will be looking to keep up the good work after impressive debuts.

To get everyone ready, we've come up with a list of some of our favorite moments from the newbies in 2015-16.

Jack Eichel

Cool, calm and collected with this OT winner against the Canes with a second to go. Eichel showed way more poise than we'd normally expect from a rookie with this goal.

Dylan Larkin

We could have picked Larkin's record breaking performance at the All-Star game speed competition, but this fake out against Cory Schneider is too nasty to pass up.

Connor McDavid

After a blazing hot start, an injury sidelined McDavid until February. He picked up right where he left off though with this goal.

Artemi Panarin

Not sure if it's easy, hard or both to play on the same line as names like Patrick Kane and Johnathan Toews for your rookie year. Regardless, Panarin fit in just fine. Cory Schneider was once again the victim of a beautiful shot from a rookie as Panarin roofed this one past the Devil's netminder.
