Many of us have that Dad who took us to play hockey, watch hockey, took a few shots to the shin while playing goalie with us, etc. They are the best aren't they? I remember both my Dad and Grandfather finally started to steal my mom and grandma's Spiegel catalogs to use as shin guards as our shots got a little harder. Good times.

But yeah with Father's Day approaching, I wanted to feature a few of our favorite hockey dads out there who paved the way in the NHL for their offspring.
Brett and Bobby Hull:
Brett and Bobby Hull are probably the first names that come to mind when you think about fathers and sons that have been in the NHL. The two might have worn different flags when it came to international play, but they share space on both the Stanley Cup, as well as the Hart Memorial Trophy and Lady Byng.
Ray, Chris and Ryan Bourque:
Ray Bourque built his career with the Boston Bruins and it's also where he raised his kids. Just like Bobby Hull, Ray was a star for his home country of Canada, while his son Ryan won a Junior World Championship for the Red, White, and Blue. Neither Chris or Ryan have seen quite the NHL success that their father did as the two of them both play in the Washington Capitals farm system with the Hershey Bears.
Tie and Max Domi:
Not much of a chance you'll ever see the name "Domi" on the Lady Byng with Bobby and Brett Hull as both Tie and his son Max are very familiar with the inside of the penalty box (although Max's 72 minutes this season is very short of some of Tie's quieter seasons, he did get suspended for instigating a late fight). Tie also played soccer for Kosovo in the Canadian International Soccer League, as well CFL as a place kicker for the Toronto Argonauts. Max is coming off of a successful rookie year with the Coyotes.
